P H O T O G R A P H Y

At this point in life, photography is how I tell stories about my experiences.  These visual stories help the observer to focus inward to uncover their own opinions and vantage points. I would like to think that my photographs allow us to recognize our own perspectives, as we experience another's.

 

In my work, color, art, photography, design and the needle arts combine with my varied world experience working and traveling.  My first career was in nursing, where I spent several decades in academia and clinical practice.  Then, I married my husband Jerry who wanted to see the world. Traveling the globe expanded my horizons and empathy towards other cultures. This inspired me to tell other's stories as seen through my camera lens. Life then brought me to a second career in business and now that I am retired. I have taken up my calling to be an artist and photographer.

When I hold my camera I experience pure joy communicating all that goes on around me.  So many wondrous things happen all the time.  This brings me joy and that is what I wish to communicate to you.  I want to communicate my subject's story's and when their stories are told passionately through my viewfinder we come together and are able to engage in a shared experience which is captivating and inspiring.
